FibroTest-ActiTest
FibroTest and ActiTest use a combination of 5 and 6 simple and highly concentrated biochemical markers, which are easy to assess. They are surrogate markers of histological features in patients with chronic hepatitis C.
FibroTest
The FibroTest is calculated using an original combination of five highly concentrated biochemical markers which are easy to assess. The FibroTest offers a non invasive alternative for measuring fibrosis in patients with chronic hepatitis C or B, alcoholic liver disease and metabolic steatosis (overweight, diabetes, hyperlipidemia)
The FibroTest combines alpha2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, apolipoprotein A1, total bilirubin and GGT, parameters adjusted for patient’s age and gender.
ActiTest
The ActiTest is calculated using an original combination of six highly concentrated biochemical markers, which are easy to assess. The ActiTest offers a non invasive alternative for measuring necro inflammatory activity in patients with chronic hepatitis C or B.
The ActiTest combines alpha2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, apolipoprotein A1, total bilirubin, GGT, and ALT, parameters adjusted for patient’s age and gender
Result report
Here is an example of a result report sheet (PDF Format) :
For each test, the results are available both as a web page or a PDF file.
About result report
Each test result is given using two columns :
- The left column presents the sample result
- The right column presents a severity scale:
- Lower third “green zone”: no or minimal lesions
- Intermediary third “orange zone”: moderate lesions
- Upper third “red zone”: severe lesions
- FibroTest: Fibrosis expression is the same as the METAVIR classification
- ActiTest: Necroinflammatory activity expression is the same as the METAVIR classification
