New version of HepaTop
BioPredictive releases a new version of its innovative service : HepaTop - top authors in hepatology
Hepatology is a competitive medical specialty with an exponential increase of publications. Key idea of this study is to highlight key authors of the specialty, trying to identify raising stars too.
BioPredictive R&D teams have improved HepaTop, still in Beta version :
- Now 2,600+ authors and 500,000+ publications !
- Improved algorithms (articles detection, first publication date, h-index)
- Source for h-index is Google Scholar, while all other information now come from PubMed/MedLine
- List of journals we include and exclude is now public
- Very fast browsing experience, due to major investment in cutting-edge servers farm
- More and more information on author's pages : distribution of publication types, all articles, timeline, etc.
HepaTop is still not perfect but certainly more and more significant !
The index "h" (a reference for the bibliographists) represents the number of publications cited at least h times in the literature. It identifies the productive authors whose work becomes a reference. The higher h-index, the more the author is a reference.
